Reconfiguring the Vehicle for Optimal Sustainability Performance

The Ford Piquette Project aims at replicating the Model T success creating a new, innovative product and business model for mobility with emphasis on sustainability. The U-M research will assist Ford in three areas: (a) Explore new business model(s) for Ford (economic sustainability). (b) Search for a new paradigm for production with a high emphasis on sustainability (environmental process sustainability). (c) Generate product ideas and demonstration examples (environmental product sustainability).
