Project tasks included creating an Industrial Ecology database in Microsoft Access and an Industrial Ecology web page.  The database contains information on IE projects and programs throughout the EPA, research institutions, non-governmental organizations, universities, and other government agencies.  The web page includes this database, in addition to information on IE workshops, conferences, and lectures. My educational background in IE at the University of Michigan gave me knowledge of the field that has been valuable in communicating with the IE project contacts.  Understanding the key principles of IE has helped me to determine the type of information to include in the database that best addresses the project's IE approach to protecting the environment.
